The story

PetTerrarium is where hobbyists learn to build and keep miniature ecosystems: planted terrariums, reptile and amphibian setups, and aquariums. Suzan Atwood and the team write the kind of hands-on setup guides and honest gear reviews you only get from people who actually keep these tanks themselves.

That expertise was the whole business model. The more useful the guides, the more readers found them on Google, and the more the site's product roundups and reviews earned. The catch was volume. In-depth, accurate care guides took time the small team didn't have, so the site stayed small and search barely knew it existed.

In spring 2025 they connected PetTerrarium to DraftSEO and switched on autopilot. It researched what hobbyists were actually typing into Google, then drafted and published 25 guides in the site's own voice. No manual writing, no formatting. The corn snake bioactive enclosure guide alone became one of the site's most-read pages.

Seven months in, Search Console shows 110K impressions at an average position of 9.7. That's page one. The site drew 1.3K visitors over the same stretch, and they stick around, a bit over a minute per visit. What used to be the bottleneck now brings in most of PetTerrarium's readers, and the product reviews finally have an audience.

What I love is how consistent the results are. Every article we publish starts ranking, and the traffic just keeps building. It's become our main source of visitors.
