Quick answers about pricing, content generation, publishing, and your account.
You connect your website, and Autopilot builds a keyword plan for your niche and generates articles from it — about one a day. If you turn on auto-publish for a connected CMS, each finished article is sent there automatically; otherwise it’s saved as a draft in DraftSEO for you to publish. You can also generate articles manually from the dashboard by entering a topic and keyword, then review and publish each one yourself.
Your first site gets 5 free article generations, with no credit card. You get them as soon as you finish the setup wizard — no CMS connection or payment required — and the credits don’t expire.
Setup — connecting your site and choosing preferences like article length, tone, and when articles are generated — takes a few minutes. After that Autopilot runs on its own, generating about one article a day. For each connected CMS you choose whether finished articles publish automatically or stay as drafts for you to review.
No. Every article is generated with SEO structure built in: targeted keywords, an H2/H3 heading hierarchy, and an auto-written meta description you can edit. Internal links and external links are optional settings you turn on per article. Articles shown on DraftSEO-hosted or embedded blogs also get schema markup automatically; when you publish to a CMS like WordPress, your site’s own SEO tools handle that.
Yes. You can register with a Google account or with an email address and password. Google sign-in only reads your name, email, and profile picture.
There is one plan, Growth: $39 per connected site per month, or $348 per year ($29/month) with annual billing. All features are included. Each site gets its own monthly credit allowance — enough for roughly 30 articles.
Each connected site is billed at $39/month and has its own monthly credit balance. You add or remove sites from your billing settings — adding a site adds a paid seat (billed right away), and removing one stops its billing from your next renewal (the current period isn’t refunded).
Each article generation costs credits depending on the AI model: 1 credit for GPT-4o Mini or Claude Haiku 4.5, up to 15 for O3 Mini. The exact cost is shown next to each model in the generator, and every site’s balance resets on its billing date.
No — credits reset on each billing cycle date, and unused credits don’t carry over to the next month.

Six models are available: GPT-4o Mini, GPT-4o, and O3 Mini from OpenAI, and Claude Haiku 4.5, Sonnet 4.6, and Opus 4.6 from Anthropic. You pick the model per article; the cost ranges from 1 to 15 credits depending on the model.
You pick one of five length presets, from Short (600–1,000 words) to XL (4,000–5,000 words). Generation usually takes a few minutes — research, writing, images, and links run in one job, with a progress bar while it works.
Articles can be written in 78 languages, including Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Japanese, and Arabic. You can also set a target country to localize spelling, examples, and phrasing.
No. Google has said it doesn’t penalize AI-assisted content — it ranks pages on quality and usefulness. Articles are generated as original text with a clear heading structure and clean formatting, and on supported platforms like WordPress they include FAQ and video schema for rich results.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) means structuring content so AI assistants — ChatGPT, Gemini, Google’s AI Overviews — can parse and cite it. Articles are formatted with clear headings, direct answers, and FAQ sections, plus schema markup on supported platforms — which helps with both classic search and AI answers.
Yes. Articles open in a built-in editor where you can change text, formatting, images, and links, before or after publishing. Depending on your generation settings, articles can include AI-generated images, embedded YouTube videos, data tables, and FAQ sections.
The text is generated per article, not copied from existing content, and you own it fully — including commercial use, republishing, and client work. There are no royalties or attribution requirements.

Both. Autopilot publishes on the content calendar it creates for your site. Manually generated articles can be published immediately or scheduled for a specific date and time, and scheduled posts are sent to your connected platform automatically.
