Terms and conditions for the DraftSEO affiliate program

By participating in the DraftSEO Affiliate Program ("Program"), you agree to be bound by these Affiliate Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not participate in the Program.

DraftSEO operates a performance-based tiered commission system. Your commission rate increases automatically as you refer more paying customers. Commission rates vary by billing interval:
How Tier Advancement Works: When you reach a new tier threshold, the commission rate for that qualifying sale and all future sales will automatically use the higher rate for the respective billing interval. For example, your 11th successful referral on a monthly plan will earn 100% commission (Silver tier), while an annual plan sale will earn 20% commission (Silver tier).
Successful Referral Definition: A successful referral is counted when a customer you referred makes their first paid subscription payment (after any free trial period). Your tier is calculated based on the total number of unique paying customers you've referred, regardless of whether they choose monthly or annual billing.
Commissions are paid once per customer on their first subscription payment only. You will receive commission at your current tier rate when that customer makes their initial payment. Subsequent recurring payments from the same customer do not generate additional commissions.
Important: Commissions are calculated on the full plan price after your 25% customer discount is applied, but before taxes. This ensures you earn commission on the actual discounted value while rewarding plan tier growth. Key points:

Important: If a customer upgrades mid-cycle, they pay a prorated charge to Paddle based on timing, but your commission is always calculated on the full discounted plan price ($119.25), NOT the prorated charge.
Your commission is based on the full plan value after discount ($119.25), regardless of what the customer actually pays (which may be prorated for upgrades).
Why This Structure: You earn commission on the actual value provided to customers (after their 25% savings), regardless of billing cycle timing. Whether they sign up fresh or upgrade mid-cycle, your commission reflects the discounted plan tier you drove them to choose.
Commissions become eligible for payout 45 days after the customer's payment is received. This hold period allows for refunds and chargebacks.

We employ advanced fraud detection systems to identify suspicious activity. Affiliates found attempting to circumvent these rules will have their accounts terminated and all commissions forfeited.
Eligible commissions are paid monthly, typically within the first week of each month for commissions earned in the previous month.
The minimum payout threshold is $50. If your eligible commissions are below this amount, they will roll over to the next month until the threshold is met.
All payments are made via PayPal. You are responsible for providing a valid PayPal email address and maintaining your account in good standing.
You are responsible for all taxes associated with your affiliate earnings. We may require you to provide tax documentation before processing payments.
You will be provided with unique referral links to promote DraftSEO. All referrals must be made through these links to receive credit.
Our tracking cookies are valid for 45 days. If a visitor clicks your referral link and signs up within 45 days, you will receive credit for that referral.
We use a last-click attribution model. If multiple affiliates refer the same customer, only the last affiliate to refer them will receive credit.
As an affiliate, you may NOT:
Self-Referral Policy: You may not use your own affiliate voucher code for any purchase, directly or indirectly. This includes creating separate accounts, using family members' accounts, or any other method to apply your own discount code to a transaction you benefit from.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your affiliate account, forfeiture of all unpaid commissions, and potential legal action for fraudulent activity.
We may provide marketing materials such as banners, text links, and landing pages. You must:
You may terminate your participation in the Program at any time by notifying us. You will receive payment for all eligible commissions earned before termination.
We may suspend or terminate your affiliate account at any time for:
Upon termination for cause, you may forfeit any unpaid commissions.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify active affiliates of material changes via email. Continued participation in the Program after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC LEVEL OF COMMISSIONS OR RESULTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM.
