Paste one API token — Joomla publishes over its own API.
Joomla 4 and 5 ship a Web Services API in core, so no extension is required. You generate an API Token in your Joomla profile, and DraftSEO creates articles over that API — HTML split into intro and full text, images uploaded to your Media Manager, category and meta description set.
| Connection | Joomla API Token — from your profile’s Joomla API Token tab, pasted with your site URL |
|---|---|
| Extension needed | None — the core Web Services API is enabled by default on Joomla 4/5 |
| Image hosting | Your Media Manager — uploaded under your site’s images/ folder |
| Publish modes | Published · unpublished · scheduled |
| Versions | Joomla 4.1+, 5 and 6 |
Who does what
Nothing — after the token is in, articles publish over Joomla’s API without you. Want to review? Set the mode to unpublished and approve each article in your Joomla admin.
Native Joomla articles, no plugin baggage.
