Your Bluehost WordPress site, one plugin, a blog that keeps publishing.
Bluehost hosts WordPress sites, and on those the DraftSEO plugin turns every finished article into a regular post, uploading its images to your Media Library. The Bluehost AI Website Builder is the one product it cannot reach, because sites built with it do not install plugins.
| Bluehost WordPress hosting | Publishes through the plugin — regular posts with a category and SEO fields, images hosted in the Media Library |
|---|---|
| Bluehost AI Website Builder | Cannot install plugins — a regular Bluehost WordPress hosting site works instead |
| Coming Soon mode | On for every new site — visitors and search engines get a placeholder until you turn it off |
| Temporary address | Connect your domain, not mybluehost.me — a staging copy is the wrong target too |
| ModSecurity firewall | Can refuse a publish with a 403 — Bluehost support can allow the request |
Who does what
After a one-time setup — plugin installed, Coming Soon off, site connected on its real domain — no single article needs you. Prefer to read first? Draft mode leaves each post waiting in WP Admin for your approval.
Set it up once, then let the posts come.
Setup
A new Bluehost site needs one setting changed before readers can see what DraftSEO publishes.
Choose Bluehost under Connect a site. It opens the WordPress plugin connection, with Bluehost’s own notes listed on top.
Under a minute
In WP Admin, open Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for “DraftSEO”, then install and activate it.
~1 minute
Bluehost starts new sites with Coming Soon switched on, which shows visitors and search engines a placeholder page rather than your articles. Switch it off before the first post goes out.
Once
On the live site (not a staging copy), first check Settings → General → WordPress Address (URL) shows your real domain — the plugin connects the address saved there, not the one in your browser, not the temporary mybluehost.me address. Then press Connect with DraftSEO.ai on the DraftSEO settings page in WP Admin. Should a later publish come back with a 403, ModSecurity, Bluehost’s firewall, may have flagged it; Bluehost support can allow the request.
~1 minute
Articles are now researched, written and posted to your Bluehost blog at the pace you pick.

FAQ
Yes, on any Bluehost site that runs WordPress. Install and activate the DraftSEO plugin and articles publish as ordinary WordPress posts, with their images uploaded to your site. The exception is a Bluehost AI Website Builder site, which DraftSEO cannot connect.
No. The Bluehost AI Website Builder gives its sites no way to install plugins, and DraftSEO connects to Bluehost only through its WordPress plugin. A regular Bluehost WordPress hosting site can install it.
Coming Soon mode is still switched on. Bluehost enables it on new sites, and while it stays on, anyone visiting — search engines included — gets a placeholder where your published articles should be. Turn it off and your articles show instead.
No — mybluehost.me is Bluehost’s temporary address. Connect the real domain your site runs on, and skip any staging copy as well.
ModSecurity, the firewall Bluehost runs, may have flagged DraftSEO’s request. Ask Bluehost support to allow it, then try the publish again.
No card required. Connected in about two minutes.
